Polyzois Soumplis was born in Athens, Greece in 1987. He graduated in 2010 from the University of Patras and was awarded the Diploma of Computer Engineer and Informatics. In 2012, he received his M.Sc. degree in computer science and engineering. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree.
His research interests are in the areas of network optimization and optical networks. He has authored and presented his research work in scientific journals and international conferences. He has also participated in the following international and national projects in the area of networks: “PERIKLHS”, “Energy Efficient Optical Network Planning and Operation – EEONPO”, “IDEALIST - Industry-Driven Elastic and Adaptive Lambda Infrastructure for Service and Transport Networks” and “Business Continuity as a Service – ORBIT”.
